I’m about to ask Abe this cause I really need to know. Did he purposely lie about Evvie telling Shan and I him being LGBTQ and, if so, how can he justify that behavior?

I’m sorry but as a queer woman that shit just creases me because I would never Kiki over something like that and I don’t like that I was even mentioned in that when I didn’t even know this argument even happened.

Maybe he didn't fully answer. In Sara's he kind of talks about it. Sorry, I thought I remembered reading it somewhere.

He touches on it in Sara’s thread but doesn’t acknowledge the part of it that is a blatant lie. He’s still running with this narrative that Evvie spread his personal information which never happened. According to Shan, he was upset about something purely game related yet spun it into something it wasn’t.

Yeah, sorry. I think I read his answer wrong the first time. My bad!

Leslie wrote: Sun Jul 09, 2023 8:41:52 pm Sorry to add an extra question for you Deshawn. You mentioned there were a few things that didn't add up from your perspective. Could you share where some of those things don't line up with your perception/experience? I am just curious to see where there were differences in the outlook of what happened.
It's a few little things from both VERY early Ancha and then early merge. Night 1, Abe and I made a final 2 deal and agreed that Xander/Evvie would be our foursome. Xander and I made a similar-ish ("getting to the end") stoner deal. Which, looking back, kinda feels like the foundation of what they actually worked with in the game so the concept that they came up with it on day 3 and then pulled me in (and Shan/Sara as all their +1s)  is a little weird because Sara suggested making a final 3 deal with Abe and I on night one and we had already made that other thing official.

And then at the merge, there seems to be a little confusion about how much control Abe had. At the Erik vote, I whispered to you first thing when tribal started and Abe got spooked out by it asking me if the plan was changing and to let him know if "we" were switching the vote because he wanted to be on the right side of the vote. And as far as I know, Abe and Xander were both really into the idea of pagonging Kallpa. It was going to be JR next and then you. Then for the Sara vote, we all know how JR was pushing my name for basically 24 hours and we spent the whole day going through everyone to see which name would stick. So there was no control on the Sara vote. We talked about voting Heather, Shan and you and then once we got people to commit to Sara we went with it. At the Heather vote, Abe was pushing for you to leave and didn't understand why no one wanted to vote you out and I had to really argue against it. What ended up convincing Abe is me claiming that Abe or I were for SURE getting voted out if you tried to vote for you because there was no way we'd get 5 votes on you. Since it was the F8, it was the riskiest in terms of a tie, we agreed that Heather was the "safest" vote.

And for the Shan vote, I might need Evvie to jump in to confirm their actual intentions there because the 2 of us had a conversation about how we didn't want to vote Shan out and we were only doing it for Xander and I feel like the both of us were actually considering not doing it. I know for a fact that I was willing to do something else so had Evvie and I agreed on something, Shan would not have gone home. So that vote I'm not sure about, it just depends on how Evvie was playing it. But for me personally, Abe had no influence on that vote either.
The intentions at F7 were always to vote Shan out, even though it wasn't something I was necessarily the most comfortable with. As I said that round, the only reason why I ended up breaking even and voting Shan out was because if we didn't get Shan that round, Xander would have 100% flipped and he confirmed that with me when we had our final day talking together on Friday. At that time though, I felt like aside from Shan idk what my option would have been to vote out. I considered voting for you that round, Deshawn, but I didn't know that the others were going to fully vote your way as well. I was surprised when the votes dropped as a 4-3.

We definitely could have decided something different, but at that time I honestly don't know who I would have chosen to go home between Leslie or JR. I do know at that time, I was locked into making sure that Abe, Xander and myself were the final Ancha members, so I was apt to doing whatever would get us there. I also wasn't sure if I could bring up those later game plans mainly because I didn't see any other way to the final seats except for voting Shan out that round and then voting for you, unfortunately, the following round.

UGH I kind of hate that I have to respect Xander for getting me out 😂 My impression is that it was his move against the preferences of others, and the game could have had a very different ending.  I 100% would have gone to rocks at f6 with JR and Leslie, then who knows where we'd be.  It's kind of neat to find a crossroads in the game that Abe wasn't responsible for.

I agree with this. Have they told anyone it was for any reason other than they didn't like you? Not sure if I missed it somewhere. I think that if they did it for strategy and played it off because they didn't like you that might help me. I'll still just not 100% sure. Because Abe said he did it for Xander. Also, I accidentally really messed up with that vote because I was so obsessed with Evvie and Abe not knowing Deshawn was going because I wanted it to be the "underdogs" move, and Xander totally played that part well when things may have been different if I had told Evvie.

Challenge & strategic threat is what I was sold on and I still firmly believe that. The whole “keeping Xander happy” was a good argument after the Sara vote but there was definitely a lot of talks on Shan being one of the more threatening person in terms of gameplay. And  not just the round she went out in.
