Ok first, we gotta talk about the titles of these confessionals
I swear to god that's not what's happening.
Also, SUPER happy I won immunity on Thursday. Although it was probably the most "awkward' challenge to win because it obviously shows people's cards in terms of who they target and who they don't target. I can't really complain though since I only got called on twice before the final 3 round. I'm definitely happy with the outcome, and I think it's proof that I've got a pretty solid social game, although I'm sure it paints some kind of a target on me. Now if I can win a couple more immunities on my own merit, I'd be pretty stoked.
Were there any surprises on who guessed who in the Numbers challenge?
I don't know that there were a lot of surprises per say. I thought it was weird that so many people guessed Abe in the first round but I think it was mostly everyone getting their footing once Leslie guessed Abe. It was a way to run through numbers on someone who had already been called on. I also think it's good that the girls were quick to guess each other once it got down to Ancha. To me it's an indication that a all-girl voting block might not be the easiest thing to pull together and that's obviously good for my game.
Why did you vote the way you did tonight? How does that tie in to your overall strategy to win?
As much as Erik believes we're all stupid for voting for him and that he was the "perfect goat", I don't see it that way at all. Erik had the timezones working against him but it was also the perfect excuse for him to miss conversations and/or not see messages on time if there were a last minute plan or vote change happening. To me, taking out Erik made sense strategically because if I spent a week trying to have a conversation with him, in the long run I see that as a huge risk to keep in the game. All it takes is one well-timed message from someone to sway him in a direction that could hurt my game. That's why Erik made sense to me personally.
Many of you have made some close bonds. With whom do you enjoy solving Stranded mysteries the most? What mysteries have you solved together in the game so far? Are your fellow mystery-solving players also the ones you have the highest level of trust in?
Abe is by far the person I bounce the most game-related stuff off of and he's by FAR the person I trust the most. He's a great sounding board and we seem fairly aligned in the way we think so it helps to get 2 heads on a situation and try to work it out. We've tried to work out potential challenges ahead of time by looking through old seasons, talk about potential alliances and vote outcomes, boot orders, etc. The only thing I don't believe we've tried to figure out is an idol. Xander and I have talked about that once when the question was brought up in confessional but that's about it. And at this point since there hasn't been any mention of clues or anything like that, I think that people have sort of given up because there's only so much you can do before you drive yourself crazy.
What’s your best move next round? How likely do you think your chances are of getting to make that move?
Up until last night, I was pretty much 100% set on Sara being the best move for next round but now there's a part of me that's entertaining a Shan vote based on the fact that she voted for Xander and actually wants him out. I do think that it's a LOT more likely to pull off a Sara elimination though and unless she wins immunity, I believe that's what will be happening. I definitely won't be the one to champion a Shan blindside at this point in the game and I think it would probably lead to a very split vote, which I'm not comfortable with while there's still so many moving parts in the game. With the way Leslie and JR voted last night, a Sara vote I can guarantee 100%.
If this is your first ORG, tell us how it’s going for you. What have been your biggest surprises about the player you turned out to be? If this isn’t your first season, tell us about your first game. What sort of player were you then? How does that compare to now?
It's my first ORG and I feel like it's going well. I'm surprised at how involved it is and how much thinking goes into it. Doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not, I find myself thinking about the game and I try to figure things out a lot more than I thought I would.
I always knew I would have a strong social game because of my background so I don't know if there's really been any big surprises there. For now at least.
Now, some questions from the lurkers:
John asks, “How do you think the jury will respect your game if you continue on your current path?”
I think if the next few rounds go the way I plan for them to go, I'm in a decent spot with the jury. I don't think anyone actively sees me as a bad person and I put a lot of effort in maintaining relationships to ensure that it stays that way, too. It all depends on who makes it to the end but I feel like the Kallpa people don't see me in as much of a bad light as they see almost everyone else and I'm trying to make sure I cultivate those relationships even if I'm not actively working with some of them. I've said it time and time again, it's a game but there's no reason to make it a shitty experience for people. And I believe that the way some people have been behaving, with ignoring certain people, talking down to them or giving off bullying-like vibes will play against them in the long run.
That being said, it's more than time to step up the game and make some good moves happen to build some more on the foundations I've laid in the game.
Mike wants to know, “Who on the cast would you like to call a fat cunt?”
LOL. Jesus Christ... I wouldn't like to call any of them a fat cunt but I'll just say Heather for argument's sake.
