Welcome to your first confessional!

We take confessionals seriously because we're genuinely interested in your story. We want to know everything you're thinking and, more importantly, what you're feeling. Think of it as free therapy. We will guide you along the way, asking you questions, provoking thought, and helping you think about things you otherwise might not have. Just talking through your situation can help you get a fresh perspective.

So, unlike in the actual game where you only communicate via text, your voice and video confessionals are welcome here! Please keep your videos and audio recordings to a reasonable length, but feel free to express yourselves here with whichever medium you prefer.

Only hosts and alumni, the lurkers, can view this space. Talk in these threads anytime to ask the hosts questions, let us know about alliances you have and which ones are fake or real, who you are vibing with and who you want out, or just nonsensical venting or goofing off. We love a good and active confessional and we want to see your arc evolve! We hosts and lurkers are excited to have you here.

After every Tribal Council, there will be a new confessional thread given by hosts to you with new questions to ask. But remember, this is YOUR personal sub-forum. Use it how you see fit, and make whatever topics or posts or replies you wish at anytime.
Here is a practice mini-challenge for you to work on if you want. It is a challenge that might appear once or twice throughout the season in a different form. While it will be easier to do in the actual challenge using a puzzle-builder, this will help you practice reposting images. Image posting is something that will pop up in multiple challenges and is a skill that you should perfect. Please refer to the guide in the Camp forum for detailed instructions on how to post images.

This particular challenge is a 4x4 16-piece puzzle. You must correctly unscramble the puzzle using the ORIGINAL image links. Meaning, you can't simply rearrange them in a photo editing program. You must use the original images by using the IMG tag. Fortunately, you are now able to just copy and paste the images direction from the challenge by highlighting them and selecting copy, and then pasting into the post editor. From there you can drag and drop them to rearrange your puzzle.

Good luck, please don't be afraid to ask us for any help or further instructions.

You will need to reply to this thread ahead of the season and sign the rules in order to avoid being replaced.

Here are some starting questions to get into the swing of things:

  1. How excited are you to be playing Stranded in The Andes?
  2. Look around your camp. What are some initial thoughts about who is on this season of Stranded with you?
  3. Tell the lurkers a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you all about? Why should they root for you?
  4. Talk about your past ORG experience, if any. Many of you have never played an ORG. What are your thoughts going into this new experience?
  5. Does anyone in your household know you’re playing? Do any of your friends? What do they make of it?
  6. What do you think your initial strategy will be going into this?

Good luck and best wishes to you. You’ve joined the Stranded family; we’re so happy to watch you play! Have fun!

Episode 00: Pre-Game Thoughts!

I can't believe I'm finally here...there's a lot of emotions flowing right now. Let's get into this!

1. How excited are you to be playing Stranded in The Andes?

EXTREMELY EXCITED! I have a long, long history with ORGs but this is my first time playing in over 8 years. Imagine not playing your favorite game for 8 years!? I'm basically a newbie at this point.

2. Look around your camp. What are some initial thoughts about who is on this season of Stranded with you?

Of course we're all using aliases. But sometimes just seeing pictures of super strategic or dangerous players makes you a little worried. Regardless, I'm going to do my best to become friends with these people. i want to be that one person that they believe will always be there for them and can talk to about anything. One thing I do hope for though is that my tribe includes some challenge beasts so we can hopefully avoid tribal for as long as possible. I'm so curious to know more about these people. It might be crazy to think, but a few of these tribemates I'm looking at could potentially be who I go to the end of the game with (and maybe end up being lifelong friends!).

3. Tell the lurkers a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you all about? Why should they root for you?

HELLOOOOOOOO LURKERS. I am a network analyst from the nation's capital in Canada! I love playing puzzle games and am constantly playing brain teaser / mind games. I own at least 10 different kinds of Rubik's cubes! I love aquariums. I have 3 of my own and I build, design, and clean them as a side-hustle. I'm married and live with my Wife and my dachshund Waffles! I also love film and television and can talk to anyone all day about movies/TV (especially if you love A24 flicks, Survivor, Drag Race, and...basically everything!). I'm into a lot of manga/anime and if you're into One Piece, I will love you forever. I also travel a lot with my wife and have been to over 40 countries on 6 continents!

I think you should root for me because I have a strong will to win this game. Of course everyone comes in to an ORG wanting to win, but I truly feel I have the drive to do it. I want to put all my effort into this game and to give you the type of gameplay you thirst over! I want to find idols. I want to be a part of huge blindsides. I want to sit at the top at the end of this game and truly show you an all-encompassing game that you wanted to see in a winner. And I won't settle for any less!

4. Talk about your past ORG experience, if any. Many of you have never played an ORG. What are your thoughts going into this new experience?

I have played 6 ORGs previously, however as I said before, it's been about 8 years since then. My first four were miserable showings. We're talking pre-merge or the one game where I made F5, I was a goat / useless. The two most recent games I played were Survivor America on Reddit, which I ended up winning. I then went on to make jury on the Survivor Reddit All-Stars season I played shortly after.

Now for my Survivor flashback image collage with those cheesy WHOOSH sound effects. I quit playing ORGs after I met my most recent ex-girlfriend on one. During my most recent game, I became very close to someone I was actually enemies with in the previous season. I ended up traveling to the US to meet them and we dated for 1 year long distance. The relationship ended up being super toxic and we ended on very bad terms. After that, I couldn't really do anything Survivor related as it was our thing we did together. I believe I missed the stretch of S32 to S41 of the show as well just because I couldn't handle watching it. Now, I'm happily married and have done an entire S1 to S44 marathon with my wife and have fallen back in love with the game. I feel like this is the best time for me to return to this type of game. I'm in a better space mentally. I have people around me that I know I can trust and believe in, and with my new support system, I think I can come back and pull off a win in one of these games again.

5. Does anyone in your household know you’re playing? Do any of your friends? What do they make of it?

My wife and some of my close friends know that I'm playing this game. They've experienced me playing back in University so they have an idea of what I'm in for. They're definitely happy for me that I can finally get back into a game like this. But they also probably think I'm insane to dedicate my entire life to another online game. I definitely gave my wife a heads up that the next few weeks are going to make me sound insane when I'm trying to explain these crazy voting blocks with ten different plans to her. But as a fan, she'll totally understand!

6. What do you think your initial strategy will be going into this?

I mentioned how I want to be that tribe member that you can talk to anytime. I want to be able to be on the good side of everyone so I can maneuver around anything crazy that comes my way. I need to form bonds with people that will take me deep into the game and then start making my moves when I've established my strong bonds. I like to think of Sarah Lacina in Game Changers as a perfect player. I love the style she used to make sure she was always on the right side of the vote and was never a target. There's something so incredible about being safe regardless of the permutations of the vote. I want to be that person. I want the jury to look at me at the end of the game and see what a well rounded player I was, going with the flow of the game and also putting my personal plan into action. I'm not naive to the idea that I will make blunders along the way. But it's how I learn to work with the lows to create the amazing highs. I'm going to always give it my all regardless of how this game changes for me, and I'm going fight and scrape my way to being your winner of Stranded: The Andes.
Waffles hopes we were very professional in our interview with you all!

OH MY GOD JAZZ! That's so funny, wow! I just listened to one of the Stranded podcasts about your gameplay and was very impressed by what 'Joaquin' has pulled off. Now to find out you're Jazz is absolutely insane.

Definitely already my favourite.

You get the stamp of approval from King James. Good luck!
He’s not you because he’s received a jury vote before.

Real James also gives Abraham a stamp of approval.
