Welcome to your first confessional!

We take confessionals seriously because we're genuinely interested in your story. We want to know everything you're thinking and, more importantly, what you're feeling. Think of it as free therapy. We will guide you along the way, asking you questions, provoking thought, and helping you think about things you otherwise might not have. Just talking through your situation can help you get a fresh perspective.

So, unlike in the actual game where you only communicate via text, your voice and video confessionals are welcome here! Please keep your videos and audio recordings to a reasonable length, but feel free to express yourselves here with whichever medium you prefer.

Only hosts and alumni, the lurkers, can view this space. Talk in these threads anytime to ask the hosts questions, let us know about alliances you have and which ones are fake or real, who you are vibing with and who you want out, or just nonsensical venting or goofing off. We love a good and active confessional and we want to see your arc evolve! We hosts and lurkers are excited to have you here.

After every Tribal Council, there will be a new confessional thread given by hosts to you with new questions to ask. But remember, this is YOUR personal sub-forum. Use it how you see fit, and make whatever topics or posts or replies you wish at anytime.
Here is a practice mini-challenge for you to work on if you want. It is a challenge that might appear once or twice throughout the season in a different form. While it will be easier to do in the actual challenge using a puzzle-builder, this will help you practice reposting images. Image posting is something that will pop up in multiple challenges and is a skill that you should perfect. Please refer to the guide in the Camp forum for detailed instructions on how to post images.

This particular challenge is a 4x4 16-piece puzzle. You must correctly unscramble the puzzle using the ORIGINAL image links. Meaning, you can't simply rearrange them in a photo editing program. You must use the original images by using the IMG tag. Fortunately, you are now able to just copy and paste the images direction from the challenge by highlighting them and selecting copy, and then pasting into the post editor. From there you can drag and drop them to rearrange your puzzle.

Good luck, please don't be afraid to ask us for any help or further instructions.

You will need to reply to this thread ahead of the season and sign the rules in order to avoid being replaced.

Here are some starting questions to get into the swing of things:

  1. How excited are you to be playing Stranded in The Andes?
  2. Look around your camp. What are some initial thoughts about who is on this season of Stranded with you?
  3. Tell the lurkers a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you all about? Why should they root for you?
  4. Talk about your past ORG experience, if any. Many of you have never played an ORG. What are your thoughts going into this new experience?
  5. Does anyone in your household know you’re playing? Do any of your friends? What do they make of it?
  6. What do you think your initial strategy will be going into this?

Good luck and best wishes to you. You’ve joined the Stranded family; we’re so happy to watch you play! Have fun!

How excited are you to be playing Stranded in The Andes?

😅 is the perfect way to encapsulate how I'm feeling right now about playing this game. Normally before playing an ORG, I'm extremely nervous but find myself pushing through the nerves to enjoy the experience as a whole and looking at it like that. Excited to be here, however, really fucking scared about how this is going to go if I'm being honest. I came across the Stranded platform earlier this year during an obsessive moment I was having regarding wanting to play a new ORG and tbh, I sat on the application for a few days before finding the focus to submit. For this to be happening is kinda surreal and I have no idea what to expect or have really any expectations about how this is going to go. I am excited, but I'm also anxious as hell to begin. I think as the game goes on (and I hopefully am still a part of it!), my excitement will increase. Honestly though, for now, it's about at a 6 or 7.

Look around your camp. What are some initial thoughts about who is on this season of Stranded with you?

*looks around camp* It's nice to see a mixture of players from various seasons across the Survivor Pantheon to play with! I will say that the first thing I noticed was "OMG I GOT THREE BLACK MEN ON MY TRIBE GO AWF" which really excited me for some reason haha my tribe is giving an interesting vibe. Aside from that, I think I have my initial thoughts about the players/character reps that people are using based on what I know about them from the actual game. In my mind, I think I align the contestant (Survivor contestant) with the player (Stranded player) and imagine them having similar personalities, which is probably not even close to true. I think it's a nice balance of contestants to parse through based on surface-level impressions. I can go into my assumptions a little more based on the vibes I'm picking up. I'll stick with my own tribe just for the time being.

Abraham - it's giving rigid vibes and not huge on conversation energy.
Deshawn - seems like they're going to be fun to play with but potentially big on making emotional, messy moves (which I live for)
Danny - straight by the book type of player, loyal, not a fan of twists LOL but someone I look forward to hopefully getting to know and work with potentially. let's see!*
Evvie - the baddest bitch there ever was, and gives part of the Alphabet Alliance vibes because duh
Heather - MOTHER. quiet mother but still, mother~ not sure how that'll read or if my read is even correct
Sara - who and who? honestly, lol she's a contestant I normally forget played (wasn't she S41?) but Sara gives sassy yet potential fun energy. or they could be a raging bitch. let's see which energy they bring!
Shan - actual MOTHER. Queen Bee energy. Huge threat written all over their energy for some reason. But someone you don't want to get on the wrong side of. Will keep my eye out on them.
Xander - young, exciting, fun, seems to have their head in the clouds but is fully present as to what's going on and wants people to be non-assuming of them.

I wonder if that'll hold up or if I'll feel differently about people as the game actually starts. Hell, maybe if I end up having some more time on my hands, I'll do the other tribe too.

Tell the lurkers a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you all about? Why should they root for you?

Hiiii lurkers! Thanks for checking the game out as we go along and staying invested in our journeys as participants! Idk if you all get to talk to us or ask questions but always feel free to push me on lines of questioning or if you need clarity about my frame of mind, holla at your bwoy.

My name is Gary. I'm 33 years old, I live in Brooklyn, NY. I'm a gay lol #higayhappypridemonth and idk at this rate, what I'm all about is staying alive. I feel like this game is coming at a VERY weird time in my life and normally I'm all like spring-chicken like for a new experience but right now I'm feeling very ~~~~ about my whole existence so answering that 'what you're all about' question really just threw me for a fucking loop LMAO but I'm free-flowing here with my thoughts. I work in higher education part time for a graduate school and have owned a small business for the last 3 years but am in a huge pivot in my life and figuring the rest of it out.

As far as why people should root for me, I am definitely an emotional player of sorts and I'm more of a social player compared to a challenger. I think in the past especially in Alias games (with my very little experience), I tend to be the rootable underdog in some instances and that's always a compelling story to watch, innit? I think as a player, I'm rootable because I'm always going to give my all and most honest POV whenever I can. I'm also kinda like a lulzy type of player and I think that can be exciting to follow. This is coming at a time where I do have time to write and this is probably the best way to channel all of my emotions into something so ty for giving me the space to be able to do that. Wow, this feels like I said a whole lot of nothing but wrote a whole damn block paragraph 😪 anyways, I think the viewers should root for me because I'm fabulous, I'm not new to this, I'm true to this, and the longer I get to stay, the more confessionals with me spiraling about contestants that you'll get! I also sometimes measure my own excitement and success from how well I'm able to navigate situations like this. So I'm very hopeful that I do well and at least make it to merge - that's always my goal anytime I play a new game. I hope I make you all proud or at least slightly entertain!

Talk about your past ORG experience, if any. Many of you have never played an ORG. What are your thoughts going into this new experience?

I've been playing ORGs of some form or fashion since 2013 I believe? Makes 10 years this year if my timing is proper. I'm originally from RTVG (for any that know) and I'm used to playing with the same people mostly. I've ventured off into other games where I've been playing under an alias here and there before, and just started trying that out more within the last two years/during the pandemic. This isn't completely new but of course, different hosts have different styles of hosting, different challenges, all that type of stuff. I'm always excited to try out some new shit. My thoughts are...let's just see what happens. I feel like right now before anything has popped off, I'm feeling apprehensive but may feel differently once I start meeting people. I'm excited to meet new folx and connect with new people - it's why I love coming back to these types of games and trying to throw my hat in the ring and play outside of my comfort zone. What's the worst that can happen? I go home first? *knocking on wood that doesn't happen, though*

Does anyone in your household know you’re playing? Do any of your friends? What do they make of it?

I live alone. And I haven't told anyone that I'm playing this right now, not even my online family that I talk to everyday. I feel like people get it but don't 'get it' so I kinda just keep it to myself. That may change, however, depending upon how intense this experience gets. It does find itself bleeding over into real life at times especially games like these where you have to be online at a specific time every night for an event. CHILE. I need to set reminders to remind myself that this is happening until it becomes a part of my new routine. But I ranted all that to say, no one knows I'm doing this right now. At least, not yet...

What do you think your initial strategy will be going into this?

Talk to people. Get around and try to make friends. Genuinely connect with people as the time goes on. Show that I'm willing to play and will participate. But I think my biggest thing will be to find my ONE. The one person that I know I will be able to trust and won't backstab me. That's my first task when the game begins. And vibe with people to see how I can hopefully find myself either in a majority OR on the good side of people's minds instead of feeling like they would want to target me. I feel like I tend to start off a little awkward yet chatty, and that can be seen as chaotic to people or exciting to work with. I hope I can charm tf out of folx and make them want to work with me or at least keep me afloat with what's going on. I'm so not a gamebot so I know I won't gel with those type of people but like to let them do the steering. I'm a great passenger seat rider until it's time for me to get off at the appropriate stop or hop into the driver's seat. And most times, it will be in my own damn car.

Evvie is showing up to the party fashionably late because that's just how she rolls and is in the middle of bumping around trying to navigate the forums. Forgot to do my pre-season homework by watching all of the forum videos and whatnot and then realized what time it was and panicked. I saw that there was a password for a tribe chat and I'm like ¿? trying to figure it out and before I could hop into the chat room...guess who the first person to reach out to me is?

ABRAHAM.

Wasn't expecting that! Mind = blown. Let's play!
