Kallpa lost a tribe member tonight. You still have a long way to go before claiming the prize, but you’re one step further! Please share your thoughts on how things are going for you.

1.       What type of player (strategic mastermind, social butterfly, under the radar, challenge beast, goat, wild card) are you trying to be at this stage of the game? How do you think your fellow tribe members perceive your current player type? Why?

2.     Do you have the “right” Survivor rep? If not, what rep would you have chosen for yourself? If the Survivor rep we chose for you suits you, what qualities do you think you share? How are you making your rep work for you if you are?

3.       Tomorrow is a challenge AND tribal council. Now that you have done one challenge for yourselves, what could be in store for you and your tribe? Think you can handle losing and having tribal council soon after?

4.       Speaking of challenges, what is your stance on physical players? Do you value people in the tribe who are good at challenges and want to keep them around even if they're not the best socially with you?

Shan!

There's lots of great confessionals this season but I gotta say yours are some of my favorites because they're concise and breezy reads.  You give just enough about your feelings and thoughts about the game without being over indulgent of yourself. Really fun to read. I have a few pressing, hard hitting questions though.

How does it really make you feel knowing that Xander starts his day brushing his cat to the thought of you?

I heard a fun fact that you've got an alarming amount of cats and dogs. If this is true, what are their names?

I might be misremembering but is this your first ORG since taking in the lovely journey that is parenthood? How are you juggling the responsibilities of taking care of Lucy while taking care of your game? You talked about how you brought your number one ally to the end and lost in your first ORG. Do you have what it takes to be cutthroat this time around or does being a parent hold you back from really going there this time around?

I'm trying to be social but slightly UTR.  I'm not sure if I blew that by performing in the challenge-- it occurred to me later that maybe the others were throwing idk 😆 But I think I'm also trying to be a slightly different person for most of my tribemates.  I'll go into that in more detail later.

2.     Do you have the “right” Survivor rep? If not, what rep would you have chosen for yourself? If the Survivor rep we chose for you suits you, what qualities do you think you share? How are you making your rep work for you if you are?
Okay I was nervous about playing Shan but honestly I'm LOVING having such a sunny rep, especially this avatar.  I love being able to embrace that side of my personality because I have been basically trying to be a little ray of sunshine to everybody, and make everyone super comfortable with me.  I haven't finished 41  yet but I do know Shan gets a bit more controversial and possibly unlikable as the game on, so.... that also checks out 😂

3.       Tomorrow is a challenge AND tribal council. Now that you have done one challenge for yourselves, what could be in store for you and your tribe? Think you can handle losing and having tribal council soon after?
I wouldn't throw the challenge, but I would be super interested to go to tribal to be honest.  Everyone has upped their sketchiness level today lol and part of me just wants to drop the dead weight and see what these fuckers are actually up to.  I'm feeling a bit disillusioned with my tribe today and much less connected than I was at the start of the game.  Maybe I laid TOO low this weekend idk.  Anyways in theory the vote is Danny, but I guess Sara is trying to start some shit, according to Evvie.

My stance on physical players depends on how useful they are to me lol.  At this stage I want to know who the challenge threats are but not necessarily target them at this point.  Usually I try to get super tight with a strong challenge player because I'm not likely to win individual immunity (at least in previous games) so the next best thing is to be besties with someone who is.  During the tribe stage I'm more likely to want to keep strong players in, unless I hate my tribe. 😆

Awww thank you!  I hope I don't disappoint you later on because I feel like I normally write more than I have been but between work and Lucy I've been having to just lay it out as fast as I can lol.

You know, it's a very unique honor, one I'm not sure I deserve, but I do hope I can continue to live up to his standards.  😆  I made a bigger effort with him today and we still have spoken a disproportionate amount about cats but we did finally manage some game talk lol

I heard a fun fact that you've got an alarming amount of cats and dogs. If this is true, what are their names?
Oh god I'm trying to remember who I told that to and why on earth I did that 😂  My house is basically an animal shelter at this point, animals show up and never leave!  Okay are you ready for this?

DOGS
Autumn (3-legged redbone coonhound, viral tiktok sensation 😆 )
Cash (Great Dane)
June (Great Dane puppy)
Figaro (Fig) (foster dog who's been here way too long, someone come get him 😭)

CATS
Linus
Wasabi
Kale
Cauli[flower]
Asparagus
January (Maine Coon)
Tango (Maine Coon kitten, joining the fam soon)

Is there a list of lurker IDs somewhere so I can figure out who I know?? 😂 If you (or anyone else!) has played with me before definitely tell me so we can reminisce!  So this is actually my second org since having Lucy, but my first alias org with her.  The All-Stars season of Endure with I think 42 people or something was my first, and I finished 6th.  I'm proud of my placement but it was definitely not my best game, and a lot of that was definitely due to being a mom and just being so fucking EXHAUSTED and touched out in every way.  But she's almost 4 now so she can play independently while I do other stuff, plus I work from home now so I have all day to sit on the board and talk.  Alias is much more my jam anyway, having to be on camera with people literally 24/7 is a nightmare and it takes me literally years to recover.  😂  I'm a much better player through writing, I think.

As for my first org, that was probablyyyyy 2008 (jfc 😭😭😭) so I've definitely learned a ton since then.   Thinking back though, honestly... I think I would probably make the same decision at that point.  My mistake was not cutting that ally earlier (has anyone ever played with Jeremy [his username] and tried to backstab him though??  It's like murdering your own soul 😭 ), but when I won the f3 challenge and had to pick between my d1 ally and a goat (he wasn't even going to be able to make FTC 🙄), I think I'd probably still pick my ally.  I'd like to think that nowadays I would know to turn on that person before it gets to that point, but honestly, occasionally I meet that someone I vibe with on such a deep level that I'd sit with them at the end either way.  I know that pisses some people off.  😂

This might border on self-indulgent, which you just praised me for not being lol, but honestly I think becoming a mom has made me MORE cutthroat.  I've always been pretty introverted and the go-along-to-get-along type, but as soon as you have a kid you have to start fighting for them.  After awhile I found it easier to fight for myself, too.  Making hard decisions that other people don't like is something that took practice for me, and now I feel perfectly prepared to be tucking my kid into bed at night with a lullaby, while simultaneously plotting which of these throats to cut next. 😘

For REAL I am not built that way 😂

I was gonna do a better rundown of everybody but I'm running out of time before the challenge, so here's easy breezy for Mike H:

EVVIE:  Maybe I'm just having a bad day but I'm less confident in Evvie.  She is well-loved by everybody (and rightly so) and I feel like she's one of those players who everyone thinks is their #1.  Which I can be totally okay with as long as I know I'm your ACTUAL #1 😂  I don't know that though.  Abraham is pushing Evvie/Xander duo super hard, and Evvie is pushing Xander/Abraham, so all 3 of them are sus to me rn but this is all I have to work with at the moment.  I do have to say though that Evvie reminds me SO much of my beloved Tricks, not sure if anyone here knows them but we've played several games together and we ALWAYS gravitate to each other but never know it's the other 😂  Evvie has their same vibe and that's probably part of the reason I feel so comfortable with her.

ABRAHAM:  I feel like he likes me and I am definitely safe with him for now, but I don't feel confident that I'm his #1 either, like he claims.  Heather thinks Abe/Deshawn are a duo, Evvie thinks Abe/Xander.  My feeling would be that Abe and Evvie both want to work with me for now but are keeping an eye on me for down the road.  It's annoying that "social threat" is already being thrown around.

DESHAWN:  I just adore the crap out of this guy 😂  Abe admits to being tight with Deshawn, which I thought was interesting (that he admitted it I mean).  Deshawn and I talked earlier about a "watch each other's backs" kind of thing, and an agreement that we both love Abe and Evvie.  Deshawn does not seem to be up Xander's butt like the other two but I have to remember to verify this later

XANDER:  Sweet guy, weirdly well connected.  Working on stepping it up with him, I think we got somewhere today.  I'm trying to play a bit of the innocent naive girl who NEEDS Xander's help navigating the daunting complexities of survivor 😆  He seemed to be lapping it up earlier, hopefully that's the way to endear myself to him.  Xanders are always my downfall.

HEATHER:  Not really sure what she's doing, I think she's pretty new.  Evvie seems to adore her and Abe also suggested that Heather could be evvie's number one.  Honestly I kind of assume Evvie/Abe are the actual pair and are just masterminding everyone.  I'm considering my relationship with Heather more as my perception of my position in the tribe is shifting.

SARA:  Ummmmm loved Sara until she was supposedly semi-targeting me?  At least according to Evvie.  Xander also spoke VERY highly of Sara which was a relationship I did not see coming?  Sara is never online and I don't think I talked to her at all yesterday, although I did send her a message that she never answered.
