Welcome to your first confessional!

We take confessionals seriously because we're genuinely interested in your story. We want to know everything you're thinking and, more importantly, what you're feeling. Think of it as free therapy. We will guide you along the way, asking you questions, provoking thought, and helping you think about things you otherwise might not have. Just talking through your situation can help you get a fresh perspective.

So, unlike in the actual game where you only communicate via text, your voice and video confessionals are welcome here! Please keep your videos and audio recordings to a reasonable length, but feel free to express yourselves here with whichever medium you prefer.

Only hosts and alumni, the lurkers, can view this space. Talk in these threads anytime to ask the hosts questions, let us know about alliances you have and which ones are fake or real, who you are vibing with and who you want out, or just nonsensical venting or goofing off. We love a good and active confessional and we want to see your arc evolve! We hosts and lurkers are excited to have you here.

After every Tribal Council, there will be a new confessional thread given by hosts to you with new questions to ask. But remember, this is YOUR personal sub-forum. Use it how you see fit, and make whatever topics or posts or replies you wish at anytime.
Here is a practice mini-challenge for you to work on if you want. It is a challenge that might appear once or twice throughout the season in a different form. While it will be easier to do in the actual challenge using a puzzle-builder, this will help you practice reposting images. Image posting is something that will pop up in multiple challenges and is a skill that you should perfect. Please refer to the guide in the Camp forum for detailed instructions on how to post images.

This particular challenge is a 4x4 16-piece puzzle. You must correctly unscramble the puzzle using the ORIGINAL image links. Meaning, you can't simply rearrange them in a photo editing program. You must use the original images by using the IMG tag. Fortunately, you are now able to just copy and paste the images direction from the challenge by highlighting them and selecting copy, and then pasting into the post editor. From there you can drag and drop them to rearrange your puzzle.

Good luck, please don't be afraid to ask us for any help or further instructions.

You will need to reply to this thread ahead of the season and sign the rules in order to avoid being replaced.

Here are some starting questions to get into the swing of things:

  1. How excited are you to be playing Stranded in The Andes?
  2. Look around your camp. What are some initial thoughts about who is on this season of Stranded with you?
  3. Tell the lurkers a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you all about? Why should they root for you?
  4. Talk about your past ORG experience, if any. Many of you have never played an ORG. What are your thoughts going into this new experience?
  5. Does anyone in your household know you’re playing? Do any of your friends? What do they make of it?
  6. What do you think your initial strategy will be going into this?

Good luck and best wishes to you. You’ve joined the Stranded family; we’re so happy to watch you play! Have fun!

  • How excited are you to be playing Stranded in The Andes?
Oh my gosh, I am so excited! I cannot wait to start playing tomorrow. I think that it will be such a blast! I have been going through a bunch of the past seasons and have listened to almost all of the podcast episodes at this point. 😂
  • Look around your camp. What are some initial thoughts about who is on this season of Stranded with you?
I am not sure so far! It seems like a small group, especially because the lowest I have seen going through past seasons was 18 players :curious:, but I am excited to get to know everyone! I cannot wait to start talking with my tribe and seeing who I might get along with this season! I am so excited to see what twists may come up. I am pretty sure that there was a season where a few returning players joined part way through. Or maybe not, I am pretty sure that was the invasion season, so you know what I will be doing tonight and tomorrow morning! I could also just be overthinking everything given the crazy twist that was season 40...
  • Tell the lurkers a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you all about? Why should they root for you?
Hello, all! I am a special educator and I teach 8th graders. I also work with homeschool families in order to help create a curriculum that meets the need of their kiddos and allows them to focus on other stuff! A lot of the families I work with have kids who are super into sports, so I get to create a curriculum that allows the kiddos to learn on the go!  I got married about a year and a half ago, and my husband and I are now expecting our first baby girl! I am due on August 28th, and I absolutely cannot wait to meet this sweet baby girl.

In terms of what I am about, I am also a Christian which is my guess as to why I am Leslie. I typically am very open about the fact that I am Christian but try not to push my thoughts or beliefs on anyone. I just typically answer questions that people have and just live life the way I think He would want. I am interested in seeing if players know much about Leslie, and if that will add to my game at all. I am completely obsessed with reading as well as watching Survivor, Big Brother, and The Challenge. My husband and I both absolutely love Pokemon Go as well as Dark Souls, and we spend way too much time playing both of those games.

Why should people root for me? I am super obsessed with Survivor and I have done a lot of work looking through past seasons of Stranded. I am definitely someone who will want to find my person and work with them until the end, but I am going to do my best not to be super obvious about that fact with other people. I know sometimes people will be so clear in their alliance that others won't be honest with them, and I definitely want people to feel comfortable telling me their plan so I can best navigate the game! I will do my best to make big/weird moves that I feel will further my game, and I will do my best to be a bit more sneaky than what feels comfortable. We will see though, who knows how this season will go.
  • Talk about your past ORG experience, if any. Many of you have never played an ORG. What are your thoughts going into this new experience?
This is my first ORG, but I am so excited to be able to be part of this! I think the idea is so interesting, and when researching Survivor games, this definitely seemed to be one that felt very real and that made me super excited to just take the chance to apply!
  • Does anyone in your household know you’re playing? Do any of your friends? What do they make of it?
My husband knows and is super excited. I think the thing we are most excited about is hearing what is said about me on the podcast after the show and seeing how I am perceived. A few of my teacher friends know, and totally have no clue what I am talking about but are excited that I am excited.  😩
  • What do you think your initial strategy will be going into this?
Ouff, I have no clue. I know that I want to pick someone or a group that I want to be loyal to, but I also want to try to push myself out of that and try to have a good game and be interesting, so we will see. I think that is the most exciting thing for me. I am really curious about how I can push myself and try something new! I might need to try to be a little less excited than I am. I don't know how well I will do, but I am a bit worried that some people might think I am being fake. We will see though, because when I get excited about something it can be difficult to hide.  😜

Okay, so after some sleep and research, I have done some thinking. Also, have I mentioned that I am a special educator and I am absolutely obsessed with data and trying to figure out what the heck they mean? Yeah, I am and I do...🤣 I am probably wrong, but I will sure enjoy sharing my random thoughts. Also, a sidenote, pregnancy is freaking crazy and my two dogs ate a bird today and I LITERALLY started crying. So emotional all the time. Okay, anyways, my thoughts so far today are below.

Active Players - I realized that when people post, their total post count is shown, so I can see who has been active so far. I can also see how many likes someone has received if I click on their name, which I feel kind of helps me tell how much they are sharing in terms of if people have a plan and are interesting to the lurkers. So that being considered, as of right now, the people who look the most active would be Frosti and me, but a lot of people have around 3 or 4 posts. So far it looks like the only people who haven't made any posts on my tribe are Erik and Sherea. Looking at how many likes people have received, the highest are Denise and me. But in terms of the average likes per post, the biggest people who stand out to me are Jean-Robert and Denise. I definitely want to keep my eye on those two. They could be just really funny, or have a lot of good ideas. We will see if Erik and Sherea show up, otherwise, it would be really easy first few votes.

Number of Players - I also might be crazy about the 16 players being super small. Poody definitely made a comment about never doing a 40-player season again and also made a comment in one of the Stranded through History episodes literally saying that it would be cool to do a 16-person season, so we will see! I am probably overthinking everything plus some, but hopefully, it will give you all a giggle to see this silly newbie overthinking everything! 😜 Also, I want to practice pasting photos and videos, so here is a fun interview from Leslie. Sadly, I cannot find ANY memes from her, but you know, that is okay I guess LOL. Here is a regular old photo.

You remind me soooo much of me when I first played, I love seeing these thoughts of yours on the players.

Also when in doubt, make your own memes! Apparently China doesn't have a lot of good quality images online, which is strange, you think a great season like China would have lots but regardless... twas a hard to find some graphics from it for Stranded lol.

Thank you, I most definitely take that as a huge compliment! The meme situation is so true! I will need to get working on that! I definitely assumed a bunch would pop up! It definitely was a great season!

Just a quick hidden thank you to Aaron for so quickly volunteering for the tribe leader. There is a 0% chance that I want something that puts that many eyes on me right now. No, thank you!
