Hello fellow Ancha tribunates!

Hope everyone is doing swell and getting settled into the Andes Mountains nicely!

I figured this would be the best way for us to share some basic info about ourselves instead of doing it in the group chat where it might get buried.

I figured I would throw a couple ice breakers on here with my answers and then everyone else can reply with theirs!

1. What's your favorite color? (Red for me)

2. How old are you? (I am 24 as of a week ago)

3. Where do you live? (Not sure if this is allowed but I live on the West Coast)

4. What are you most excited about? (The challenges for me!)

5. Who is the most famous person you ever met and where did you meet? (I met Carrot Top at a Seaworld bathroom when I was in middle school, very surreal)

Lets hear yours!!

One word that describes me is: Spectacular

My favorite color is black because it goes with everything

I'm 24

I'm excited to hopefully make new friends

Idk if this could but i saw Jojo Siwa. I was at Planet Hollywood and there was this really obnoxious family sitting near us. I remember being so annoyed because they were singing at the top of their lungs. I didn't realize it was Jojo and her family until they were walking out lol

Hey Ancha! I figured we could keep the icebreaker-type thing going with a new batch of questions for those who feel like sharing;
  1. Are you more of a cat or dog person?
  2. If you had to eat one thing every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
  3. What's the best (or worst!) customer service experience you've ever had?
  4. If you could meet the version of yourself from 10 years ago or from 10 years from now, which one would you choose? Why?
  5. How do you organize your socks?
For me;
  1. Dogs all the way
  2. I would go with something simple like soup because there's so many variations of it and you can get very creative with it without it getting weird or boring
  3. I had all my belongings (and passport!) stolen while traveling in Australia/New Zealand and I went to the travel agency at the airport because I needed to rebook flights and everything and the lady working there literally spent 3 hours with me figuring everything out, helping me with the replacement passport process, getting a new visa issued, etc. She absolutely went above and beyond to help me and make sure everything was sorted out so I could make it back home.
  4. The one from 10 years ago just so I could give some pointers about certain things and decisions. I feel like a "second chance" at certain things is better than "spoiling" what's coming next.
  5. They're stacked on a shelf in a dresser, arranged in 4 categories; everyday, ankle, fancy/dress socks and thick wool socks for the winter.

This is a great idea! From the sounds of Jeff's message, the challenge might involve getting to know the tribe as best as possible so I'm cool with more icebreakers.
  1. More of a dog person (I own a dachshund named Waffles!) but my parents and my sister have cats so I'm cool with them too.
  2. I would eat a good cheeseburger every day given the chance. But i also like Deshawn's idea of soup so I'll also go with Ramen! So many different varieties.
  3. Anytime I get a refund easily, I consider it the best customer service experience I've ever had haha.
  4. Definitely myself 10 years ago. So I can tell them what to focus on in school and maybe some lottery numbers!
  5. i have a three section top drawer, Socks in the middle and on the right! I have this weird thing about socks where I need to change them if they feel any bit sweaty so I have loads of em.

Great Idea Deshawn! The more we can learn about each other the better, that's what it sounds like the challenge will be this weekend.

1. I am more of a dog person, I grew up in a dog show family actually so I have basically never lived my life without a dog in it . But my college roommates had a cat and I was chill with him as well, I just like animals lol(I also have a Daschund Abraham! Her name is Moxy cause she's got plenty of it)
2. Good question, it would either be a spicy chicken cutlet sandwich from the local deli where I grew up, or a California burrito from a Peruvian place down the street, one of the best I have had in my entire life!
3. Best Cust Serve experience I ever had was getting upgraded to an exit row seat on a cross country flight without having to pay for it, that extra leg room is a freakin god send on a 5+ hour flight, so shoutout Delta 😘
4. For sure myself from ten years ago, I would let myself know about some stupid mistakes I made that cost me some happiness, and just like Abraham said, maybe some lottery numbers and some stocks to invest in as well!
5. No organization whatsoever in my sock drawer haha, socks and underwear are in the same drawer so its socks to the right and underwear to the left for me!

I've been reading everyone else's answers and forgot to do my own lol, so here's both!

What's your favorite color?
Pink, which is apparently UNAVAILABLE on this blasphemy of a board

How old are you?
30.  Ish.  :)

Where do you live?
East coast US!

What are you most excited about?
Honestly having people to chat with while I'm at work 😂

Who is the most famous person you ever met and where did you meet?
I met Dane Cook once.  My biggest takeaway from the experience was that he had the dampest floppy fish handshake I'd ever partaken in.
Are you more of a cat or dog person?
I'm just an animal person in general!  If I HAD to pick I'd say I'm probably 51% a cat person and 49% a dog person 😆

If you had to eat one thing every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
SUSHI.  Especially salmon.

What's the best (or worst!) customer service experience you've ever had?
A taxi driver once threw my dog out of the moving vehicle in the middle of traffic in one of the busiest intersections in the country.

If you could meet the version of yourself from 10 years ago or from 10 years from now, which one would you choose? Why?
Ummmm DEFINITELY from ten years ago because what if I pick 10 years from now AND NO ONE SHOWS UP??  I would rather not worry about my impending death every day for the next <10 years!!

How do you organize your socks?

I am a heathen.  I don't organize my socks.  Unless I have a real reason to wear boring socks, I always buy fun socks with crazy patterns, throw them all in a drawer together without matching them, and pick two mismatched ones at random 😆

Okay so I'm going to read everyone's responses to their answers after I write mine. I love the fun get-to-know-you games and getting to know more about everyone's stories!
  1. Are you more of a cat or dog person? I'm real-life allergic to both so like neither? Sometimes I like cats and dogs, sometimes I don't. I'll say cat, though.
  2. If you had to eat one thing every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Fettucini alfredo.
  3. What's the best (or worst!) customer service experience you've ever had? Ooh, the best one was with this person who I used to call to submit some late payments that I used to have had given me her personal line to speak with her and she would check in on me during the pandemic to make sure that I was okay. I have her name written somewhere, I need to check in on her again at some point I was actually kinda sad when I paid them off lol
  4. If you could meet the version of yourself from 10 years ago or from 10 years from now, which one would you choose? Why? Ten years from now. I think because I'm the type of person who tends to worry all the time about what's coming ahead, I would want to have insight as to where I'm going and what I'm doing.
  5. How do you organize your socks? They get balled up into their own little corner of my underwear drawer LOL I also get my laundry done for me so it's part of the gig to just take my socks and throw them into the drawers they belong to~

Chicken 🐔 so many ways to cook it!

What's the best (or worst!) customer service experience you've ever had?

Best, Went on a Safari in Africa (Maasai Mara)

If you could meet the version of yourself from 10 years ago or from 10 years from now, which one would you choose? Why?

  1. I love both Dogs and Cats but have always had a special connection in my heart for Cats.
  2. Spaghetti Carbonara
  3. I tend to be super forgiving and permissive of customer service mistakes. But one time I was at a smoothie place and they wrote my name down as something so wildly far from my name that it started with a different letter. After 15 mins i asked what was up and they handed me the melted old smoothie. I asked the surly teenager if he could remake it and he silently went to the register, handed me a ten dollar bill and said have a nice day. I was SO SHOCKED
  4. I would visit my past self and tell me not to worry about the little things
  5. I have a sock drawer, but the cat has decided its her penthouse apartment. Now i have this little cube organizer thing that i put them in to avoid the wrath of the cat
Danny youre gonna have to share that lottery with me cause im gonna play those numbers too. If only i could get away from this computer for more than 108 mins..... 😉😉🏝️
