Welcome to your first confessional!

We take confessionals seriously because we're genuinely interested in your story. We want to know everything you're thinking and, more importantly, what you're feeling. Think of it as free therapy. We will guide you along the way, asking you questions, provoking thought, and helping you think about things you otherwise might not have. Just talking through your situation can help you get a fresh perspective.

So, unlike in the actual game where you only communicate via text, your voice and video confessionals are welcome here! Please keep your videos and audio recordings to a reasonable length, but feel free to express yourselves here with whichever medium you prefer.

Only hosts and alumni, the lurkers, can view this space. Talk in these threads anytime to ask the hosts questions, let us know about alliances you have and which ones are fake or real, who you are vibing with and who you want out, or just nonsensical venting or goofing off. We love a good and active confessional and we want to see your arc evolve! We hosts and lurkers are excited to have you here.

After every Tribal Council, there will be a new confessional thread given by hosts to you with new questions to ask. But remember, this is YOUR personal sub-forum. Use it how you see fit, and make whatever topics or posts or replies you wish at anytime.
Here is a practice mini-challenge for you to work on if you want. It is a challenge that might appear once or twice throughout the season in a different form. While it will be easier to do in the actual challenge using a puzzle-builder, this will help you practice reposting images. Image posting is something that will pop up in multiple challenges and is a skill that you should perfect. Please refer to the guide in the Camp forum for detailed instructions on how to post images.

This particular challenge is a 4x4 16-piece puzzle. You must correctly unscramble the puzzle using the ORIGINAL image links. Meaning, you can't simply rearrange them in a photo editing program. You must use the original images by using the IMG tag. Fortunately, you are now able to just copy and paste the images direction from the challenge by highlighting them and selecting copy, and then pasting into the post editor. From there you can drag and drop them to rearrange your puzzle.

Good luck, please don't be afraid to ask us for any help or further instructions.

You will need to reply to this thread ahead of the season and sign the rules in order to avoid being replaced.

Here are some starting questions to get into the swing of things:

  1. How excited are you to be playing Stranded in The Andes?
  2. Look around your camp. What are some initial thoughts about who is on this season of Stranded with you?
  3. Tell the lurkers a bit about yourself. Who are you? What are you all about? Why should they root for you?
  4. Talk about your past ORG experience, if any. Many of you have never played an ORG. What are your thoughts going into this new experience?
  5. Does anyone in your household know you’re playing? Do any of your friends? What do they make of it?
  6. What do you think your initial strategy will be going into this?

Good luck and best wishes to you. You’ve joined the Stranded family; we’re so happy to watch you play! Have fun!

Hullo, and thanks for having me.

1. On a scale from 1-10 I am about a 6 at the moment. that is mainly because I am trying to get situated with the site and understand the posting directions lol. But I have always been the guys who gets excited when the fun stuff is in front of me. I am super excited to see the posts when this kicks off, I am about a 9 out of 10 to see that start off.

2.I have no real initial thoughts outside of, everyone I am familiar with from the show are all on my team. I have only seen 3 seasons of stranded so I have no background on many characters.

3. Sup lurkers, I am Frosti but my online alias known by my gamer friends is Yano (pronounced E-yaw-no). I am a father with a baby boy, I am a social worker making steps to enter grad school for a degree in social psychology. I enjoy video games, sports, board games, dnd, etc. You should root for me because I am a newbie to stranded/survivor. Also Please root for me this first week, we are going camping and so I will not be very active friday and saturday. Starting off I just don't want to be first out.

4. I have no ORG experience, though I did assist in gathering info on THIS ORG for a Grad student. Spent over 2 years reading and analyzing communication styles of contestants and finalists so I hope this gives me an edge. My thoughts are first worry, due to missing most of the first week......actually no, this runs sunday-thusrday, so I wont be missing too much. Not too worried anymore. I am very curious though, I want to see if there will be strong personalities off the gate and see how they interact.

5. My wife knows, but that's it. And she think's it is cool. She was putting up with me doing all the research stuff so she thinks it is cool IO can play in the game I spent nearly 2 years having fever dreams about.

6. My initial strategy is to find people I can banter with. Since we have no physical closeness in this game getting close to people through casually talking is important. There is a big difference in a relationship with someone you only talk strats with and someone who can tell the rest of the tribe that you are coming on late because you had a rough day at work and need a drink to start the night. So from there I want to foster loyalty and allies through social bonds, not entirely strategic bonds (though both is ideal). From there, we play right. Game on fuckers

From what we have seen people are more likely to get jury votes if they were active and made moves. Also being honest was huge. We found people who lied are snaked on other people were very like to lose jury votes, period. didn't matter too much how well they played their game if they were disliked enough

So sipping on a drink waiting for challenge 1 to start. I am kinda nervous but i don't believe in being afraid of something you don't know about yet so I think I'm sitting pretty chill.
I have liked getting to know everyone, it feels either like shooting the shit with nurses at work or with my roommates, when I lived with them. It is nice and so far some of these people are lovely. Funny enough, I am talking most with 2 people not in my alliance. I wonder how the relationships will change over the weeks
